DOCTOR'S REFERRAL
1) Is a doctor's referral needed to start the virtual physical therapy sessions?

No. You can start receiving physical therapy services without having a doctor's referral. If you want to continue physical therapy past 30 days of an initial PT session, it is recommended that you to get a referral from your doctor.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY
1) Why does Resume Mobility Physical Therapy offer physical therapy in NC & SC only?

We provide physical therapy services to the patients located in North Carolina & South Carolina only due to state licensure and business registration regulations.

Our practice adheres to the legal requirements set forth by state health boards, which mandate that physical therapists must hold a valid licensure in the state where their patients are located. As of now, we are registered as well as licensed in North Carolina & South Carolina states only.

Each state has its own registration and licensing requirements, as well as its own rules and regulations for virtual physical therapy. We are working on to add more states as we expand our services with these varying requirements!
3) What is the age range of patients for physical therapy?

Currently, we treat patients with age ranging from 10 years to 80 years (without Medicare).

We want to highlight that we are an out-of-network provider. We do not accept any health insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. As of now, we cannot treat the patients with Medicare.
4) Is there any in-person physical therapy (such as, outpatient or home PT) offered?

Yes. We now also offer in-person home PT visits to certain zip codes in North Carolina & South Carolina. Please contact us for more details.

Our goal is to provide physical therapy services to patients, who have difficulty going to outpatient therapy due to various reasons, such as, busy work schedule, lack of transportation, ambulation limitations, fall risk, health insurance (visit limitations, co-pay, deductible, and so on), long wait, and different therapist each time!
