  • Is a doctor's referral needed to start virtual physical therapy services?
    Not needed for up to 30 days. In South Carolina, physical therapists have direct access and can provide PT ​treatment without a physician's referral for up to 30 days from the date of PT Initial Evaluation. We will accept the doctor's referral, if you have it. After 30 days, the referral from your doctor is mandatory to continue physical therapy services.
  • How can I send a doctor's referral to you?
    If you have a doctor's referral, you can scan and e-mail it to us at Referrals@resumemobilitypt.com.
  • How can my doctor send a referral to you?
    Your doctor's office can send the referral to us by sending the scanned copy of it to Referrals@resumemobilitypt.com.
  • Do you take commercial health insurance?
    No. We are out-of-network provider for the insurance companies. However, if your insurance plan provides out-of-network benefits, you can request the reimbursement from your insurance company for our services. We can provide you a superbill and invoice/receipt for your completed PT sessions which you can submit to your insurance company to request a reimbursement.
  • What if I have Medicare and/or Medicaid?
    We currently DO NOT accept the patients with Medicare and/or Medicaid. Please check back with us in the future as we continue to expand our service availability.
  • What if I don't have any health insurance?
    We are an out-of-network provider. If you do not have any health insurance, we offer comprehensive and evidence-based one-on-one PT sessions with upfront costs. Please visit "Make an Appointment" and "Follow-up Plans" pages of our website for further details. We offer different payment options. We accept all Credit/Debit Cards, HSA/FSA cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. We also accept payments through Zelle. Please contact us for more information.
  • What age range do you treat patients?
    Currently, we treat the patients with age range from 5 years to 64 years. Our comprehensive virtual or telehealth physical therapy services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each age group. We are in process of adding more age groups as we expand our services!
  • Why do you see the patients in South Carolina only?
    We provide virtual or telehealth physical therapy services to the patients located in South Carolina only due to state licensure and business registration regulations. Our practice adheres to the legal requirements set forth by state health boards, which mandate that physical therapists must hold a valid licensure in the state where their patients are located. As of now, we are registered as well as licensed in the South Carolina state only. Each state has its own registration and licensing requirements, as well as its own rules and regulations for virtual physical therapy. We are actively working on to add more states as we expand our services with these varying requirements!
  • Can I access virtual physical therapy services in my state?
    As of now, we provide virtual or telehealth physical therapy services for the patients located in South Carolina only. If you don't see your state listed, please check back with us in the future as we continue to expand our service availability. We appreciate your patience. We are excited to provide you with an exceptional and accessible care - no matter where you are located! Please contact us, if you want your state to be added. We will prioritize adding those states in great demand!
  • Do you provide in-person PT service, such as, outpatient or home health?
    No. We provide online virtual or telehealth physical therapy services only. Our goal is to provide services to patients, who have difficulty going to in-person physical therapy due to various reasons or have concerns about in-person home health visits or patients who prefer to have online sessions than in-person visits.
  • What should I expect from PT Initial Evaluation session?
    You should expect to spend up to 1 hour and 30 minutes to discuss about your current complaints, past medical history, and movement concerns. Licensed physical therapist will perform comprehensive and evidence-based one-on-one PT evaluation as well as provide initial treatment. Plan of care will be discussed after evaluation, if further sessions are needed. In addition, Home Exercise Program (HEP) and/or Education Handouts will be provided to help with your recovery! We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and stay hydrated during our sessions. You may feel sore if you are having intense exercises done.   • What should I expect from PT Follow-up session?
    You should expect to spend up to 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your session and need. Licensed physical therapist will provide comprehensive and evidence-based one-on-one treatment to help with your recovery. Your movement concerns will be addressed to the best of physical therapist's ability and knowledge. During the session, physical therapist may ask few questions to help understand your current condition and response to treatment. If you need more time at the end of any PT Follow-up session, we offer extension at $25/per additional 15 minutes (depending on attending PT's availability). We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and stay hydrated during our sessions. You may feel sore if you are having intense exercises done. If you have any severe exacerbation of symptoms during the session, please let us know as soon as possible.   • How many PT Follow-up sessions will I need?​
    During the PT Initial Evaluation session, your physical therapist will discuss the Plan of Care to address your condition and path to recovery. Plan of Care usually includes frequency and duration of treatment, such as, PT Follow-up sessions for once a week for 3 weeks, or twice a week for 3 weeks, or so on. Sometimes, 2 or 3 Follow-up sessions will be good enough. However, for certain patients, more PT Follow-up sessions are required to achieve the expected outcome.   • What type of payment options do you offer?

  • Do you offer discounts for PT sessions?
    Yes. We do offer different discount plans to manage your PT Follow-up sessions. We offer "3 Follow-ups" & "5 Follow-ups" options at a discounted price! If you are currently in any of our discounted Follow-up plans, any additional future PT Follow-up session(s) can be added with the same discounted price!
  • What is your Cancellation, Rescheduling, Refund, and No-Show Policy?
    Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to a scheduled PT session to avoid the fees. Cancellation fee of $30 will be applied to any No-Shows as well as any cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of a scheduled PT session. Late arrivals will not be provided additional time. If the patient wants additional time, we offer extension at $25/per additional 15 minutes (depending on attending PT's availability). Payments are non-refundable once the PT session has started. We reserve the right to discontinue our services to any patient for repeated cancellations, rescheduling requests, or non-compliance with our scheduling policies.
